Common Questions

When should I start the Birth Prep Program?

Most people begin between 28–34 weeks, but you can start earlier or later depending on your comfort and goals. The program is tailored to your trimester and your changing body.

Do I need a referral?

No — the Birth Prep and Postpartum Recovery Programs are wellness services, so no referral or diagnosis is required.

Can Birth Prep help reduce tearing or complications?

While no technique can guarantee outcomes, pelvic floor preparation, perineal mobility, and effective pushing strategies may help reduce strain, improve confidence, and support a smoother delivery experience.

When should I start the postpartum recovery program?

Most clients begin around 4–6 weeks postpartum, pending clearance from their provider. However, early guidance on breathing, mobility, and gentle movement can begin as early as 2 weeks postpartum if mom feels ready.

Can I bring my baby?

If you want to…absolutely! We understand that early postpartum life comes with tight schedules and constant transitions. Babies are always welcome — whether they’re napping in a car seat, needing to be held, or feeding during the session. We’ll adjust the flow, movements, and setup as needed so you can focus on your recovery without the stress of finding childcare. This is a space designed to support you in the realities of new motherhood.

All Services

Pelvic floor

Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized, one-on-one approach that addresses issues like pain, pressure, leakage, and core dysfunction that can impact your daily life, movement, and overall well-being. Whether you're dealing with long-standing symptoms or new concerns, treatment is tailored to your goals and lifestyle. At Redefine Physical Therapy & Wellness, we’re here to help you move with confidence and comfort—redefining the standard of care so you can feel your best.

Orthopedic

Orthopedic physical therapy addresses pain, injury, and movement limitations involving the muscles, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing chronic discomfort, or bouncing back from a recent injury, care is tailored to meet you where you are. Through hands‑on manual therapy, targeted strengthening, mobility work, and evidence‑based techniques, we help you move better, feel stronger, and confidently return to the activities you love.

Wellness Programs

Our wellness programs are designed for individuals who want to improve their overall health, mobility, and function—even if they’re not dealing with an injury or medical diagnosis. Whether your goal is to prevent future issues, optimize movement, manage stress, or simply feel better in your body, our one-on-one sessions are tailored to support your unique lifestyle. These programs go beyond traditional physical therapy and are perfect for those seeking proactive, empowering care in a supportive setting.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a targeted technique that uses thin, sterile needles to release trigger points, reduce muscle tension, and improve mobility. It can be an effective way to address pain, tightness, and movement limitations caused by overuse, stress, or injury. When combined with individualized exercise and manual therapy, dry needling helps reset muscle function, enhance recovery, and support your return to comfortable, efficient movement.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach used to assess, treat, and improve movement and function by targeting soft tissues and joints directly. Techniques may include mobilization, manipulation, and soft tissue work, all designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote healing. By blending expert touch with clinical insight, manual therapy enhances your body’s natural recovery and supports your return to optimal movement and performance.
